"That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present,"

 آنچنان كه ديگر نه در آينده زندگي ميكنند و نه در حال.                                                  

"Such that they live in neither the present nor the future"

 اينكه چنان زندگي مي كنند كه گويي هرگز نخواهند مرد و چنان مي ميرند كه گويي هرگز زنده نبوده اند.                                                                                                             

"That they live as if they will never die,

And die as if they had never lived."

 خداوند دستهاي مرا در دست گرفت و مدتي هردو ساكت مانديم                                       

God׳s hand took mine and we were silent for a while.

 بعد پرسيدم...                                                                                                      

...And then I asked

 به عنوان خالق انسانها,مي خواهيد آنها چه درسهايي از زندگي را ياد بگيرند؟                     

"As the creator of people, what are some of life learn?"׳s lessons you want then to?"

 خدا با لبخند پاسخ داد,                                                                                           

God replied with a smile,

 ياد بگيرندكه ثروتمند كسي نيست كه دارايي بيشتري دارد,بلكه كسي است كه نياز كمتري دارد.

"To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most,

But is one who needs the least.

 ياد بگيرند كه ظرف چند ثانيه ميتوانيم زخمي عميق در دل كساني كه دوستشان داريم ايجاد كنيم,

"To learn that it takes only a few seconds to open profound wounds in

Persons we love,

 و سالها وقت لازم خواهد بود تا آن زخم التيام يابد.                                                       

And it takes many years to heal them."

 با بخشيدن,بخشش ياد بگيرند.                                                                                

"To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness"

 ياد بگيرند كساني هستند كه آنها را عميقا دوست دارند,                                                 

اما بلد نيستند احساسشان را ابراز كنند يا نشان دهند.                                                    

"To learn that there are persons who love them dearly. But simply do not

Know how to express or show their feelings."

 ياد بگيرند كه ميشود دو نفر به يك موضوع واحد نگاه كنند و آن را متفاوت ببينند.               

"To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently

 ياد بگيرند كه هميشه كافي نيست ديگران آنها را ببخشند بلكه خودشان هم بايد خود را ببخشند.

"To learn that it is not always enough that the be forgiven by others,

They must forgive themselves."

 و ياد بگيرند كه من اين جا هستم.                                                                            

"And to learn that I am here
